The Neighborhoods Action Team advances equitable development in East Oakland and engages residents & youth in leadership development around land use policies, healthy food access, housing and environmental justice and anti-displacement strategies.
The Neighborhoods Action Team is currently engaged in two big projects:
THE HEALTH DEVELOPMENT GUIDELINES (HDG) - The Healthy Development Guidelines is a Tier 1 project of East Oakland BHC, which uses the following seven categories to ensure that the health of our residents is kept a priority: Environmental Health; Economic Opportunity; Community, Culture & Safety; Healthy Food; Transportation; Housing; and Recreation & Active Design.
