Hey dear EOBHC Leaders and Friends,
Last week we completed final edits to the EOBHC Sunset Report. What a beautiful journey it has been and we’re so honored to have been included in your trusted circle.
Building a healthy East Oakland is an act of love – for our children, our neighbors and this place that deserves so much more. By joining together, EOBHC builds the capacity of the many groups and diverse people to fight to make East Oakland what we dream it can be. To this end, EOBHC is a convener, connector, partnership builder, and creative visioning partner.
East Oakland Building Healthy Communities (EOBHC) is one of 14 sites selected by The California Endowment to participate in the statewide Building Healthy Communities initiative. This 10-year comprehensive community initiative was designed to create a movement focused on equity. EOBHC is a collaborative space of many organizations determined to shine a light on how government agencies distribute services. Collectively, residents, youth and community-based organizations seek to change the narrative the root causes of inequity and creating new pathways that support health in East Oakland communities.
